Scenes from a Carnival

May 15, 2010

Jack’s school held their annual carnival last night.  It was like something straight out of every six-year-old’s biggest and best dreams:  cotton candy, clowns, games, jumpy-houses, hotdogs, all kinds of prizes and the biggest basket raffle I’ve ever seen.  The carnival is the PTA’s love child; a true labor of love that involves countless big-hearted volunteers and endless hours of preparation.   But you know what?  Unlike so many things in life, this labor of love is always totally worth it;  it’s the best night of the year for every Clayton child.  The look of pure joy on their faces as they run from one game to the next  is nothing short of magical.

It doesn’t get better than that.

Wishing you a magical day.
