How To Be Alone

September 16, 2010

I love this woman’s message.

It took me a lot of years before I learned how to be alone.   And while I still prefer to spend the bulk of my time with family and good friends, I now appreciate the time I get each day to sit quietly with myself:  to read, to think, to plan, to dream.

I’m heading out (by myself) to write some letters at Brewed Awakenings (my favorite!).

What do you like to do by yourself?

Have a lovely day!

PS Doesn’t that woman have the greatest voice?!?

I love doing things by myself. I go to the movies alone, usually the late show. I love browsing second hand book stores and the library too. You can’t, or shouldn’t, talk much in these places anyways, why go with someone? I love to sit in a coffee shop and read a magazine cover to cover.

“be a testiment.” i love this cuz i live it every day. i love my alone time but i could not be happy in that without the love of my family. always be true to who you are. even if that means being alone in life. i will never be completely alone for i have love of family. but i must say – i love being alone. and now i know there is someone else there that feels the same way. feel free to come and be “alone” sister friend. it really is awesome! love you.
