Good News//Bad News

September 17, 2010

The good news is that I kick-started my fall workout routine with back-to-back swims.
The bad news is that my shoulders are now sore.
The good news is that I actually like when my muscles are sore because it makes me feel sort of tough.
The bad news is that I had a hard time washing my hair this morning.

The good news is that I’m going away for an entire week with just John at the beginning of October.
The bad news is that I’m going to miss my fabulous kiddos.
The good news is that they won’t miss us at all because Grammy will spend the whole week spoiling them rotten.
The bad news is they have to readjust to reality once Grammy leaves.

The good news is I am going to a Women of Faith conference with my BFF, Amy.
The bad news is that we have to share a bed.
The good news is that I never move when I’m sleeping.
The bad news is that I have sometimes been known to snore breate loudly.
The good news is that Amy owns earplugs because Bob snores, too.

The good news is that I don’t even miss Diet Coke anymore.
The bad news is I might have accidentally become infatuated with Sonic’s Diet Cherry Limeade.
The good news is that you can’t buy them at every gas station and grocery store;  you have to actually drive to Sonic to get one.
The bad news is I have suddenly found an awful lot of reasons to be in Appleton lately.

The good news is we are officially in the midst of the football season.
The bad news is that neither or my favorite teams (The Illini, The Bears) are very good this year.
The good news is that I am firmly aware of that fact and will take it into consideration before I make any more stupid bets.
The bad news is that even though I know better, I tend to get excited and overly optimistic about both the Illini and The Bears right before the game starts which tends to result in making stupid bets about the outcome of the game.

What’s your good news//bad news?

XO,

Vicki
