Podium!!

October 27, 2010

And the JV Conference Championship once again goes to Neenah High School!

Yahoo!

Emily and her teammates swam their hearts out last night!  I am so proud of this group of dynamic, committed, talented young women.  Not only are they outstanding athletes, they are genuinely great people, too.  I honestly can’t think of another group of women I’d rather have Emily begin her high school career with.  I feel truly lucky to have been able to coach these remarkable women on Thursday nights.  I’m going to miss “my” girls a whole big bunch.

I was beyond thrilled to see all those Neenah swimmers on top of the podium last night (or, in this case, on top of the starting blocks).  Emily’s 200 Free Relay took 1st, she got a personal best in her 100 Free and took 4th, and she took 5th in her 100 Breast.  Proud doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about Emily’s swim season.  I think I can safely say that Emily will leave her freshman swim season knowing she gave 110% to the sport she loves.   Emily went above and beyond what I thought she could do this season, and she had a good time doing it.  And as a parent, it doesn’t get any better than that!

Congratulations, Neenah Girls JV Swimmers on an outstanding season!  And GOOD LUCK to all the fabulous Varsity swimmers who compete on Saturday!!!

XO,

Vicki

Hooray for the Neenah Swimmers! Emily what a fantastic end to your first swim season in High School! We are so proud of you. Ask Mom if she can send a picture of you, so I can brag in style with a picture, okay? You must be so pleased at how well you’ve done this first season and we know it will just get better and better in the coming years.

Love and hugs to you and congrats to your teammates too,

    Grandma and Grandpa
