Valentine’s Day Wreath

February 4, 2011

Hi Friends!

I have been dying to make a balloon wreath since I spotted one on the How Does She? site.  And since I am now *officially* (invites went out today!)  hosting a Valentines Day party for the girlie-girls, I thought this would be the perfect time to try it out.

Here’s what you’ll need:

**14 inch straw wreath (Hobby Lobby for $3.49).  Leave the plastic on so the straw doesn’t get everywhere)
**Floral pins (Hobby Lobby $4.99 for 1 lb. [way more than you need…but that’s how they were packaged])
**144–1 1/2 inch balloons (Party Store–they come in bags of 72 for $5.99)

Super-easy directions:  take balloon, pin it to the wreath form with floral pin until the wreath looks full and happy.

I am so excited about how this turned out.  I plan on breaking it out again for Memorial Day and the 4th of July.  I’ll just add some navy blue ribbon to the top and voila!  instant patriotic wreath.  That’s three holidays worth of fun for under $20!

I adore that you figured out that by adding blue balloons, you’ve got more than one holiday covered! Perfect…have fun at your party!
